Fernando

There was something in the air that night, the stars so bright, Fernando. It shouldn't really work should it, but it does - maybe I shouldn't admit to being a fan of ABBA, although I don't think I really was until I watched a documentary about the many millions they earned - and found out that all the tours they did were for free because they didnt wanna charge over the odds for their fans to get in.

I couldnt help thinking what a lovely gesture that was, and then immediately thought of all the free comedy nights i've been to/performed at and wondered if the audience had experienced the same sort of pleasure as Agnetha & Anni-Frid created whilst belting out the opening lines of Chiquitita, and watching everybody bursting into tears waving their hands and lighters.

I've been very bad and not updated my blog since the end of March, and it is now May 17th - 9 more working days until I leave Google and embark upon a career of mirth, madness and eventually misery.

In the last month and a half I've done a number of gigs - some good, some bad, some I have no opinion of, some I can't remember doing... some... erm.

Anyway, I have two gigs left this month, in what has been the sparsest month of comedy ever ever. Feels like I'm starting again. Maybe I am. If not, maybe I should?

Yakubu

Apparently Middlesbrough are going to sign Yakubu.

I don't know how I feel about that.
